Italian Pesto

Pesto is a typical dish from Liguria, Italy. It consist in a mix of basil, pine nuts, parmigiano cheese, pecorino cheese, garlic and olive oil. It is amazing with spaghetti, bavettine or linguine.

Recipe for 2-

50 gr basil

40 gr pine nuts

1 tablespoon of parmigiano cheese

2 tablespoon of pecorino cheese

2 clove of garlic

100 ml of olive oil

200 gr spaghetti or bavette

 

If you have it’ s better to use a pestle, it’s much difficult and maybe it could make you sweat but it’s definitely rewarding! If you have not, or you have not enough time, just use a mixer. Not so bad.

In any case it is delicious.

 

When it’s done you can conserve in freezer.

For pasta you need to boil and dress with pesto and eventually with olive oil.
